One of Sherry's student engagement activities include planning a debate for her students to learn more about certain topics. In 2007 the case study she used was The Benign Hamburger.

The Benign Hamburger Directions to the Students
According to feedback Sherry gets, the students enjoy preparing for and doing the debate The most common comment is that it forces them to research the subject much deeper than they normally would have. Sherry also encourages them to dress the part (company execs to come in business attire, etc.) The students get really involved in the debate. In 2007, the protestors make t-shirts, signs and pamphlets and had a great discussion in WEBCT going.
